One day we’ll all just be someone’s ‘memories’ let’s at least TRY to make this time count

My cousin Karen found an old newspaper article about my gran and granddad’s golden wedding anniversary back in the 1970s, and she posted it online.

Karen’s kind and caring, she’s a total empath, she genuinely cares about people (blood-related or not) and right now she’s doing what she can to help and support others.

One of her numerous “rallying” techniques was to create a special family photo album on Facebook to help us feel more “together and loved” more connected in some way— even though we’re all living thousands of miles apart, and never know when, or if, we will ever see all of us, together, again.

I live in Oaxaca, Mexico, my sister lives in Los Angeles, USA, my parents are on lockdown in Nerja, Spain, one of my cousins lives in Torrox, Spain, another one lives in Vancouver, Canada, and the rest of my (genetic) family is scattered across England and Scotland.

However, despite the geographical divide, along with DNA we all have something else in common— as every human being does right now — we’re all living and trying to navigate our way in a world gone, well, kind of fucking batshit crazy (and yes, of course, I get the bat reference irony).
